THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE DELMARVA AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA MOVING
EAST...

RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING FROM THE MARYLAND
EASTERN SHORE AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA INTO DELAWARE AND SOUTHERN
NEW JERSEY LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE GENERATING
VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS THAT WERE DROPPING OVER AN INCH OF RAIN IN AN
HOUR. SOME RESULTING POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING MAY OCCUR. THE
THUNDERSTORMS ALSO WERE GENERATING DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING. WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH WERE OCCURRING BOTH IN AND

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM ACROSS THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WILL
TRACK NORTHEAST AND MOVE THROUGH OUR AREA FRIDAY. THE LOW WILL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY PERIODS OF MODERATE RAIN AND STRONG WINDS. THUNDERSTORMS
ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THE LOW. THESE THUNDERSTORMS, WITH THEIR
BRIEF PERIODS OF INTENSE RAIN, ALONG WITH SNOWMELT, WILL ALSO ADD
TO THE FLOOD THREAT.
